Lionstone Investments has appointed two veteran investment management professionals.

Greg Murphy and Damon Pitler will each serve as vice president of real estate portfolio management responsible for portfolio- and asset-level account performance.

Murphy comes to Lionstone with an in-depth background in portfolio and asset management, investment execution, transaction sourcing and operational management. He most recently served as executive vice president of operations for St. Louis-based ElmTree Funds. Prior to ElmTree, Murphy oversaw operations for the southern and western United States for Aeroterm, serving as lead interface with the firm’s capital partner.

Pitler has more than 17 years of structuring and investment experience across all phases of institutional real estate life cycles. Prior to joining Lionstone, Pitler served as managing director and portfolio manager at Amherst Capital Management and as senior investment manager for real assets at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, both in Austin. Additionally, he worked for Brookfield Asset Management in São Paulo, Brazil, and for various firms in New York.
