London CIV’s UK Housing Fund has invested in the CBRE UK Affordable Housing Fund (CBRE UK AHF), managed by CBRE Investment Management. Financial details were not disclosed.

This represents LCIV UK Housing Fund’s debut investment following its first close on March 31.

CBRE UK AHF invests in social and affordable rented housing and affordable-ownership properties delivering measurable social outcomes. According to CBRE IM, it was one of the first unlisted funds in the United Kingdom to bring institutional client capital into affordable housing to deliver social impact.

Andrew Davey, head of liability-aware strategies and affordable housing at CBRE IM, added: “It became apparent throughout a comprehensive due diligence process that our approach to impact investment and affordable housing was closely aligned with the values and targets of London CIV, so this partnership is very exciting. We are both committed to addressing key societal and environmental issues
