Landmark Properties acquires 2,289-bed community at the University of California, Davis

by Andrea Zander

Landmark Properties has acquired Sol at West Village, a 2,289-bed, mixed-use student housing community serving the University of California, Davis.

Landmark acquired it with its partners Ocean West Capital Partners, Tiger Alternative Investors, and Korea Investment & Securities Co.

The sales price was not disclosed; however, the transaction is considered the largest single-asset sale to date in the student-housing sector.

The community offers a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units alongside 36,000 square feet of commercial space, which is currently leased to the university.

West Village is the largest net zero energy community in the United States, designed to produce as much energy as it consumes. To meet this goal, the community combines efficient overall design, with renewable on-site energy production via solar panels installed throughout the community. UC Davis remains deeply committed to sustainability and houses many of its research
