LAGERS commits $75m to senior housing fund

The Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) has committed $75 million to Prudential Senior Housing Partnership Fund (SHP) VI, according to notes from Brian Collett, CIO.

Prudential Senior Housing Partnership Fund (SHP) VI will invest in the independent, assisted living and memory care segments of the senior housing industry and add value through improving operations and developing properties.

LAGERS previously invested with Prudential in SHP V, which held a $629 million final close in 2015.

For the period ending Dec. 31, 2018, LAGERS’ portfolio had $7.4 billion in assets under management and performance was as follows:
