London and New York share the top ranking in Knight Frank’s latest Wealth Report titled, City Wealth Index 2020: where do the wealthy want to live? According to the report, New York led the investment category due to the high number of top global firms headquartered there, as well as strong domestic investment. London saw the highest levels of cross-border capital from the widest range of different countries invested in real estate over 12 months, ending in September 2020.
European cities claimed eight of the top 20 spots of the report, largely driven by high rankings for investment and lifestyle, according to Knight Frank. North American cities occupied seven of the slots and Asian cities five.
