Shopping center operator Klepierre has plans to acquire RomaEst, which is considered the Italian capital’s second-largest shopping center after Porta di Roma, the country’s biggest mall.
The transaction is expected to close on Friday and is worth more than €200 million ($217 million), according to Reuters.
It would be Klepierre’s second acquisition in less than six months after purchasing O’Parinor in Paris.
With 10 million visitors a year, RomaEst is Italy’s sixth most visited shopping center.
