KKR & Co. is planning to pay up to 200 billion won ($168 million) for a 16.7 percent stake in South Korean sewage management company TSK Corp., according to The Korea Economic Daily.
KKR is expected to sign a share purchase with SK Engineering & Construction Co. in the near future. SK Engineering is the second-largest shareholder in TSK Corp, after Taeyoung Engineering & Construction Co., which holds a 62.61 percent take.
KKR has reportedly been active in the waste management sector lately. This latest deal follows on the heels of the 875 billion won ($737 million) purchase of two Korean waste treatment companies last week.
