KGAL GmbH & Co., a German investment and asset manager, is selling 31 megawatts of photovoltaic solar assets in Spain to an undisclosed Spanish fund.
The transaction amount was not known at the time of publication.
KGAL has sold two plants already with a capacity of 10 megawatts, and plans to dispose of three additional assets to the same buyer in the coming months, according to PV Tech. The company reportedly still plans to become a photovoltaic solar market leader in Spain, Portugal and Italy, despite the sale.
Since entering the renewable energy market in 2013, KGAL has acquired 130 photovoltaic plants and wind farms within Germany and abroad, according to KGAL. The company has around €2.9 billion ($3.2 billion) in assets under management, spanning eight European countries.
