Keppel has launched its second data center fund, Keppel Data Centre Fund II (KDC Fund II), raising $500 million in a first closing. The fund was backed by various financial institutional investors.
KDC Fund II will focus on making strategic investments in Asia Pacific and Europe. The vehicle is managed by Alpha Investment Partners, a private fund manager under Keppel Capital. KDC Fund II is seeking to raise $1 billion in capital commitments.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the pace of digitalization for many businesses and governments alike and further spurred the growth of the data center sector,” said Alvin Mah, CEO of Alpha.
