Keppel Infrastructure finalizes buy-in to MET Group

Keppel Infrastructure, the infrastructure arm of Keppel Corp., has completed the purchase of a 20 percent stake in MET Group, a Swiss European energy company, which has businesses in natural gas, power and oil markets.

The two companies also have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly explore investment opportunities focussing on European energy infrastructure assets.

Financial details were not confirmed; however, when the deal was announced in December 2019, Keppel said it planned to pay €53.02 million ($58.7 million) for the share.

Following the investment, MET Group will remain a management-controlled company. Keppel will gain representation on the company’s board of directors.
