Keppel’s Infrastructure Division and JTC Corp. have agreed to explore and facilitate research, pilot studies and proof-of-value initiatives that demonstrate technically and commercially viable low-carbon energy infrastructure solutions on Singapore’s Jurong Island. The collaboration will leverage the island as a living lab for innovation and scalable deployment for new energies.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to accelerating Singapore’s energy transition and strengthens the nation as a global hub for sustainable and digital-ready industrial ecosystems. In recent months, JTC, the government agency in charge of Singapore’s industrial progress, and the Singapore Economic Development Board announced plans to make Jurong Island a global test bed for new energies and low-carbon technologies.
