Karla D’Alleva Valas appointed head of private wealth at Fidelity Investments

Karla D’Alleva Valas has been appointed the new head of private wealth at Fidelity Investments, reported Citywire.

D’Alleva Valas has spent the past 23 years working at Fidelity Charitable, the donor-advised fund sponsor that has helped donors support more than 406,000 nonprofit organizations with more than $84.5 billion in grants.

At Fidelity Charitable, she served as chief compliance officer, vice president & managing director of the complex asset group, and before this appointment, as senior vice president for head of fundraising & distribution.

D’Alleva Valas earned her B.A. in chemistry & sociology at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., before earning her J.D. from New England Law and an LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law.
