Kansas City Police generates 4.81 percent return for fiscal year

The $1.14 billion Kansas City Police Employees’ Retirement System (KCPERS) generated a net return of 4.81 percent for its Police Total Fund and a 4.73 percent net return for its Civilian Employees’ Total Fund for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, both below their benchmarks of 5.82 percent.

Over the past three and five years, the Police Total Fund has yielded net annualized returns of 5.39 percent and 5.04 percent, respectively, compared with those time periods’ respective benchmarks of 5.13 percent and 5.43 percent.

The Civilian Employees’ Total Fund has posted net annualized returns of 5.37 percent and 5.08 percent over the past three and five years, respectively, compared with those time periods’ respective benchmarks of 5.13 percent and 5.43 percent.
