Julian Torres has joined Silverpeak Renewables Investment Partners as senior vice president. Torres previously led RBC Capital Markets' investments in renewable energy tax equity, according to his LinkedIn page.
His work at RBC, which began in 2015, resulted in more than $1 billion of both direct and syndicated investment commitments.
In his new role at Silverpeak, Torres will be responsible for directing origination and transaction execution in the firm’s renewable energy sector platform.
Over the course of his career he has led or participated in raising more than $2.3 billion of capital for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar and geothermal, in the United States.
Prior to joining RBC, Torres served as vice president at both Kilowatt Financial, a New York City–based specialty finance company, and RLR Consultants, a boutique advisory firm. Both companies dealt with financing of renewable projects.
