John Laing CEO steps down

Olivier Brousse, CEO of John Laing Group, has announced plans to resign from the U.K. infrastructure company in order to take up a senior position at Veolia Group.

Brousse will remain CEO of the company while they establish his replacement. The company is currently in the process of locating a new CEO.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Olivier for his valuable contribution to the board and the company, particularly in delivering the successful IPO and his leadership in evolving the group’s geographic footprint and the diversification of the portfolio,” said Will Samuel, chairman of John Laing. “Olivier will leave behind a strong management team and a company that is in good shape.”

From 2008 to 2014, Brousse served as CEO and then executive chairman of Saur SAS in France, according to John Laing’s website. Prior to this he was deputy chief executive of Veolia Transport Group; CEO of Veolia Transportation, based in
