JLC Infrastructure has closed its investment in Hudson Yards CoGen, a fully contracted district energy cogeneration system located in New York City.
Hudson Yards CoGen is a highly efficient 13.3-megawatt cogeneration facility that serves Hudson Yards, the newest neighborhood on the West Side of Midtown Manhattan and the nation’s largest private development, as a microgrid and district energy system.
With more than 18 million square feet of mixed-use space, Hudson Yards serves tens of thousands of employees daily and millions of visitors annually. Hudson Yards is Manhattan’s first LEED Gold certified neighborhood.
JLC entered a joint venture with Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, developers of Hudson Yards, who will remain invested in the project. In conjunction with JLC’s investment, for which financial terms were not disclosed, Nuveen provided debt financing to the joint venture. Related will continue to maintain and operate the facility, acc
