Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) has recorded its sixth consecutive quarterly gain on investments, logging a 1 percent gain for the second quarter, according to a report released Nov. 5.
This represents an investment return of JPY 1.8 trillion ($15.8 billion), bringing the pension fund’s total number of assets to JPY 194 trillion ($1.7 trillion).
GPIF previously reported a 2.7 percent gain on its investments in the quarter ending in June.
