Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) recently hired Jade (Changsuk) Ok from Truston Asset Management to spearhead its expansion into South Korea.
Ok will be GIP’s new country head of fundraising. In her previous role, she was the managing director of Seoul-based asset manager Truston AM. Ok also was the head of global infra team at public-superannuation fund National Pension Service and held prominent positions at energy company SK Innovation and Macquarie Group.
Ok will continue to be based in Seoul.
In September 2020, Blackstone Group and Global Infrastructure Partners were in talks to acquire Kansas City Southern, the $17 billion, class I railroad carrier.
