The Irish National Transport Authority’s brand, Transport for Ireland (TII), is seeking a market consultant for the design, construction, delivery, maintenance and operations of a metrolink project in Dublin, according to InfraPPP.
The project includes the development of a 26-kilometer (16-mile) urban railway that will connect Swords and Sandyford, running north-south through Dublin city center via the Dublin airport and connect the Dublin Airport, Irish Rail, DART, Dublin Bus and Luas services.
The system will have 25 stations, 15 of which will be newly constructed, and transport up to 50 million passengers per year. Work will include underground tunneling and stations, cut and cover and elevated track, a public-private partnership and delivery operations and maintenance management for 15 to 25 years from the operation date.
TII expects to publish a contract notice on Sept. 30, 2020.
