IREI Webinar: NFI-ODCE Index – Third Quarter Update

Geoffrey Dohrmann, executive chairman and CEO of Institutional Real Estate, Inc. and Garrett Zdolshek, portfolio manager of Investors Diversified Realty, discuss the most recent quarterly return of the NFI-ODCE Index, which was the highest in the history of the benchmark (since first quarter 1978).

Overall, there was a slight increase of properties added to the index, totaling 3,182 properties, or +137, year to date. Occupancy was at 93 percent, a +1.3 percent change. And one fund was added to the index, bringing the total to 27 funds year-to-date.

By property sector, the index showed office was down 4.6 percent, or 28.3 percent of the index, and retail was also down 1.2 percent, or 13 (1 percent). Apartment, industrial and other showed increases of 1.1 percent (27.7 percent), 3.7 percent (25.3 percent), and 0.8 percent (5.6 percent), respectively.
