Iowa PERS issues RFP for core/core-plus real estate managers

by Elise Mackanych

Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for real estate asset managers, with a focus on core and core-plus assets in the United States.

This RFP aims to select real estate investment managers with a history of managing real estate assets. IPERS’ private real estate investment portfolio includes one apartment core real estate mandate and one value-add real estate fund investment, according to the RFP.

IPERS is a public pension fund with $5.3 billion in total assets under management and $2.4 billion in real estate assets, as of Dec. 31, 2024. As of then, it had a 5 percent real estate allocation target.

Submit proposals by April 18, 2025. Read the RFP here.
