Invesco Real Estate acquires 168 units in Greater Copenhagen

by Released

Invesco Real Estate has acquired the exclusive rights to a second new development of prime, class A residential private-rented sector (PRS) assets from real estate developer 1927 Estate. The development is located in Skovlunde, Denmark, a suburb of Copenhagen.

The transaction brings the number of units Invesco Real Estate has recently invested in on behalf of its strategic opportunities investment program in Denmark over the past few weeks to 464 units. The transaction further increases Invesco Real Estate’s exposure to both the Danish residential investment market and the wider European PRS market at a time of strong asset class growth based on the highly attractive fundamentals, which Invesco believes continue to be present in the sector despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic during the past 12 months. The acquisition has been secured in cooperation with Copenhagen-based RUBIK Properties, an established operating partner for Invesco Real Estate.
