International Campus Group acquires student housing in the Netherlands

International Campus Group (IC), a European developer and operator of purpose-built urban living concepts for students and professionals in northern and central Europe, has acquired a new student residence in Leiden, Netherlands, from Niersman Project Development.

The property will consist of two buildings containing a total of 394 residential units, as well as tailored community spaces and a community garden. The project will incorporate sustainable designs and green building technology, such as solar panels, a rainwater collection system, a heat pump and a roof planted with sedum.

Leiden is IC’s second student residence in the Netherlands; however, the company said it will make significant future investments in the region to address the significant undersupply of residential offerings for students and professionals.

“We are also looking at least two other new opportunities in the market, which we hope to announce in the coming months,” said Michael Stapf
