Infratil, a New Zealand–based infrastructure company, is planning to pay A$330 million ($235 million) for an up to 60 percent stake in Australian diagnostic imaging business Qscan Group Holdings, according to Reuters. The seller is Quadrant Private Equity.
“Qscan provides a high-quality entry point into a sector with structural long-term growth and potential to scale into a leading healthcare infrastructure platform,” said Marko Bogoievski, CEO of Infratil.
Infratil made the offer with Morrison & Co Growth Infrastructure Fund, which has offered to take a 15 percent stake in Qscan. Ramsay Health Care, an Australian healthcare provider, is also bidding for Qscan, according to The Australian Financial Review.
