Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&GPrudential, has made a number of appointments in an effort to strengthen its asset management and greenfield capabilities.
Wael Elkhouly joins the business as an asset management managing director. He has more than 27 years’ experience in infrastructure finance and asset management, most recently at Bastion Infrastructure Group in Toronto, where he was partner and head of asset management.
Infracapital has also appointed Jamie Hepburn and Manuel Rodríguez Aguilar as asset management senior associates. Hepburn joined from the EPH group, where he worked in corporate finance within the EP Power Europe division. Aguilar was previously project finance manager at Cubico Sustainable Investments. In addition, Reagan Yee has joined Infracapital as an asset management associate, from Morgan Stanley’s private equity valuations team.
To support its growing greenfield activities, Infracapital has also brought on Verena Rathgeber as associate director. Rathgeber joins from Scottish Equity Partners, where she was a principal at their environmental capital fund. Savvas Karatapanis, formerly at Macquarie Capital, has also joined the team as an associate to provide further valuable support to the greenfield strategy.
In addition, Nazli Guran has been hired as a transaction associate from Credit Suisse, where she was an analyst in the investment banking, EMEA energy, transport and infrastructure group.
Infracapital has welcomed a number of new team members to the business over the last 12 months, as it continues to focus on opportunities for investment in essential infrastructure assets across Europe.
“We are delighted to welcome such an excellent and diverse breadth of talent to Infracapital,” said Ed Clarke, co-founder and CIO of Infracapital. “The recent appointments across the business demonstrate the continued success of Infracapital and our ability to attract the highest caliber of people, as we continue to deliver value and sustainable growth for our investors.”
