Denmark’s Industriens Pension has committed DKK 1 billion ($158 million) to Actis Energy 5, IREI has learned.
The pension fund could not be reached to comment on its investment activity at the time of publication.
Earlier this month, U.K.-based Actis completed a first close for its fifth energy fund with $2.9 billion in capital commitments against a target of $4 billion. Like its predecessor, Actis Energy 5 is looking to invest in renewable energy assets such as wind and solar projects in emerging markets, primarily in Latin America, Africa and parts of Asia.
The previous fund in the series, Actis Energy 4, closed with $2.75 billion in 2017.
