IndInfravit Trust buys nine road assets in India

IndInfravit Trust, an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) managed by the L&T Group, has purchased nine operational road assets in India for ₹6,300 crore, according to Mint.

The assets include the Bhilwara Rajsamand Tollway, Dhule Palesner Tollway, Hyderabad Yadgiri Tollway, Nagpur Seoni Expressway, Shreenathji Udaipur Tollway, Bijapur-Hungund Tollway, Aurangabad Jalna Tollway and Mysore-Bellary Highway, Ahmedabad Ring Road Infrastructure. According to Mint, eight of the nine assets have already been purchased.

The deal is being made through a mix of cash and preferential units of IndInfravit.

The seller was Sadbhav Infrastructure Project, which will own up to 10 percent of the units in IndInfravit once the deal goes through.
