India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) and Australia’s Future Fund have signed an agreement to help India attract Australian investments in the infrastructure sector.
NIIF, a sovereign-linked alternative asset manager, is a collaborative investment platform for international and Indian investors, anchored by the government of India. The platform has $4.3 billion of assets under management through its Master Fund, Fund of Funds and Strategic Opportunities Fund.
Australia’s Future Fund surpassed A$200 billion ($148 billion) for the first time, as of Dec. 31, 2021. At that time, the Future Fund had more than A$16 billion ($12 billion) allocated to infrastructure, representing 8 percent of the total fund.
