Indiana Public Retirement System backs three real estate funds

The Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) has disclosed $175 of real estate commitments.

INPRS committed $75 million to Abacus Multi-Family Partners V, managed by Abacus Capital Group, and $50 million each to Exeter Industrial Value Fund (EIVF) V, a value-add fund managed by Exeter Property Group, and Related Real Estate Fund III, a closed-end fund managed by Related Cos.

Abacus Multi-Family Partners V will invest in multifamily properties with specific characteristics, such as relative affordability in markets and submarkets showing favorable multifamily trends. As of February, Abacus Multi-Family Partners V had hit $541 million against its target of $790 million. The fund had already garnered support from 20 investors, including the Texas Municipal Retirement System.
