Indiana commits $50m to opportunistic fund

The $34.4 billion Indiana Public Retirement System has committed $50 million to Related Real Estate Recovery Fund II, according to Jennifer Dunlap, public information specialist for the pension fund.

The opportunistic fund, managed by The Related Cos., is seeking to raise $850 million in equity commitments and targets a broad range of real estate and real estate–related investments in U.S. gateway cities and major urban centers. Other recent investors in the fund have included the $4.4 billion Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, the $16.9 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana and the $24.4 billion
