IFM Investors, ISPT Super Property in talks for real assets merger

IFM Investors is in talks with ISPT Super Property regarding a A233 billion ($152 billion) real assets merger, according to The Australian Financial Review.

ISPT’s A$22.2 billion ($15 billion) portfolio invests in and develops office, retail, industrial, education, health and residential property in Australia. ISPT’s investors include some of Australia’s largest industry superannuation funds.

IFM Investors is a global provider of investment services across infrastructure, debt investments, listed equities and private equity. As of Dec. 31, the firm had A$211 billion ($138 billion) of funds under management.

According to The Australian Financial Review, IFM Investors and ISPT have several shareholders in common, including AustralianSuper, Cbus, UniSuper, HESTA and Hostplus.
