IFM Global Infrastructure Fund raises offer for Vienna Airport shareholding

Airports Group Europe, an indirect subsidiary of IFM Global Infrastructure Fund, has raised its offer for up to 9.99 percent of shares in Vienna International Airport from €33 million ($32 million) per share to €34 million ($33 million) per share.

This brings its stake to more than 50 percent, according to Reuters.

Vienna Airport is a unique entity that consists of one significant primary-level airport in the center of Europe and two smaller ones that have no evident connection to it, also located in Europe. Due to its geographical position, Vienna Airport is one of the most important hubs for the growing number of destinations in Europe, according to IFM. It has a dense network of European destinations and services long-haul flights to Africa, North America and Asia, with more than 27 million passengers annually.
