IberBlue Wind, a joint venture of Simply Blue Group, Proes Consultores and FF New Energy Ventures, has announced a floating wind project off the coast of Andalusia.
The project, dubbed La Pinta, in tribute to one of the three caravels used by Christopher Columbus on his first voyage to America, will have up to 55 turbines with an installed capacity of 990 megawatts. Once operational, La Pinta will have the capacity to supply energy to more than 670,000 homes.
