Huawei Digital Power, a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, has signed a contract with SEPCOIII for the world’s largest energy storage project.
Located in Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea Project includes 400 megawatts PV in addition to 1,300-megawatt-hour battery energy storage solution (BESS), which is currently the largest off-grid energy storage project in the world.
The Red Sea Project’s developer is ACWA Power, and the general contractor of EPC is SEPCOIII.
With the transaction, Huawei Digital Power and SEPCOIII will cooperate to help Saudi Arabia build a global clean energy and green economy center.
