Morgan Sindall has formed a joint venture partnership with Hertfordshire County Council in the United Kingdom to develop £2 billion ($2.9 billion) of housing sites in the region.
The joint venture is between the council’s own property company, Herts Living, and Morgan Sindall Investments’ vehicle, Community Solutions for Regeneration.
The 50-50 partnership, called Chalkdene Developments, will run for 15 years, with the option to extend a further five years. It will provide new homes and jobs across the county through a series of housing-led developments on the council’s surplus land. The partnership will initially focus on 12 locations with up to 40 in the eventual pipeline.
