Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II holds $510m final close

Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II, along with its parallel funds, has completed a final close with $510 million in equity commitments. The fund is managed by Harbert Management Corp. (HMC) and invests in senior housing properties in the United States.

The investor base included institutional and private investors from domestic and international sources, according to HMC.

“Having successfully raised our second pool of discretionary capital puts us in an excellent position to continue to build a high-quality portfolio of seniors housing properties through our operating partner relationships,” said Trent Johnson, co-fund manager for Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II.

The fund has closed eight transactions, including three joint venture development opportunities, noted HMC. These investments total nine properties and create a diverse portfolio of senior housing properties across geography, operator and acuity.
