Hammes Partners closes fourth fund at $739m of equity commitments

Hammes Partners, an institutional investment management firm focused on U.S. healthcare real estate, has closed its third value-add fund, Hammes Partners IV with $739 million of capital commitments.

The closed-end fund was oversubscribed, reaching its hard cap within seven months of its launch. The fund was backed by existing investors and consulting relationships, and received substantial interest from a diverse base of new investors. The institutional investor base included endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, investment and wealth managers, and funds of funds.

Hammes Partners IV will invest in acquisition and development opportunities in U.S. healthcare real estate. Hammes said it will take advantage of strong secular trends, such as the aging population and healthcare services that are increasingly provided through outpatient venues.
