GTIS Partners forms JV with GoldenTree Asset Management
GoldenTree Asset Management and GTIS Partners have formed GTIS Debt Capital Management, a new joint venture focused on real estate debt.
The platform will focus on real estate financing, providing customized solutions for both development and bridge debt, with loans generally ranging from $20 million to $200 million. Property types will include multifamily, condominiums, office, retail, industrial, self-storage, hotel, mixed-use, single-family home or land development, and manufactured housing.
GTIS Debt Capital Management will be led by David Blum, who recently joined GTIS as managing director and portfolio manager of real estate credit.
Blum has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry. He joined GTIS from The Lone Star Funds, where he was the co-head of its credit affiliate, LStar Capital. Prior to Lone Star, he spent 11 years at Capmark Finance, where he oversaw a large and diverse portfolio of real estate transactions across all major asset classes and markets.
