Greenman, a specialist grocery-anchored retail real estate investment and fund manager headquartered in Ireland, has launched a new open-ended fund that will invest primarily in grocery-anchored real estate.
The fund — Greenman European Supermarkets (GES) — will also have the flexibility to acquire logistics and omnichannel grocery distribution assets, as well as retail platforms across the E.U.
GES received regulatory approval last year and has collected €10 million ($11 million) of initial subscriptions, while securing a pipeline to support future growth. The fund is targeting a gross asset value of €500 million ($547 million) by 2025, mainly via primary and secondary sale and lease-back transactions. GES is a light green fund under Article 8 of the SFDR.
