Greenbacker Renewable Energy snaps up wind project in Maine

Greenbacker Renewable Energy has purchased the rights to a 15.3-megawatt planned wind project in Roxbury, Maine.

The RoxWind project was developed by Palmer Management Corp. and other parties, according to Greenbacker. It is contracted to sell electricity through long-term offtake agreements with four local municipal utilities.

Following the deal, Greenbacker will own 192.5 megawatts of wind facilities, 338.6 megawatts of utility-scale and distributed solar facilities, and 12 megawatts of biomass facilities.
