Technology giant Google is planning to inject between $1.5 billion and $2 billion in a data center in Poland, marking the company’s largest investment in the country to date, according to several news reports.
In September 2019, Google said it was looking to build cloud data centers in Poland, amid a surge of rapid growth within the country. According to Data Center Knowledge, the Domestic Cloud Provider, a joint venture by PKO Bank Polski and the Polish Development Fund, was signed on to take Google Cloud to market in the country.
DCP was planning to develop managed services capabilities and build hybrid solutions that include Google’s cloud infrastructure, as well as its own.
