Goldman Sachs Group has added Raanan Agus and Mike Brandmeyer to its asset management team, according to New York Business Journal.
The two will serve as co-heads of alternative investments and manager selection, targeting private markets. Goldman Sachs’ alternative investments and manager selection business, or AIMS, advises institutional investors and private clients on the selection of private equity, hedge fund, real estate, credit and public equity managers.
The hires will replace Chris Kojima, who will slip into a new role to co-lead the newly formed alternatives capital markets and strategy group inside the merchant banking division, known as ACMS.
ACMS will collaborate with the merchant banking and asset management units within Goldman Sachs and lead the coordination and expansion of client engagements in alternatives across both direct investing strategies and open-architecture strategies, according to an internal memo.
