Goldbeck Solar acquires GP Joule’s companies in Canada, U.S.

Goldbeck Solar Group has acquired GP Joule Group’s North American solar companies, GP Joule PV Canada and GP Joule PV USA.

With the acquisitions, Goldbeck will expand its offering in North American. The purchase also includes the acquisition of the GP Joule EPC North American team and the use of the brand locally for a limited period.

GP Joule launched its EPC business in North America in 2011. Since 2014, the subsidiaries have built more than 200 megawatts of solar farms in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia, and the U.S. states of California, Minnesota and New York. The North American EPC business has a pipeline of more than 500 megawatts.
