GLP’s clean-energy arm delivers 3.7MWp rooftop solar PV project in Spain

GLP Clean Energy, the European renewable-energy business of GLP, has installed a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at G-Park Sagunto in Valencia, Spain.

GLP is a global business builder, owner, developer and operator of logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, renewable energy and related technologies. Its 51,800-square-meter (557,570-square-foot) warehouse at G-Park Sagunto features a rooftop solar PV plant of 6,720 solar modules with 3.7 megawatts-peak of power generation capacity.

The system will supply the equivalent of 1,642 Spanish households and generate savings of around 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year throughout its lifespan.

The building was delivered to its tenant, Romar Global Care, the Spanish hygiene, cosmetics and home-care goods manufacturer, in September 2023. GLP Clean Energy signed a power-purchase agreement with Romar Global Care later that year.
