The Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub) has launched Improving Delivery Models, an online initiative that showcases proven delivery-model improvements that enhance the quality of infrastructure.
Many challenges are presented in delivering infrastructure, and those challenges can be traced back to the early processes of choosing the delivery model and structuring the project. GI Hub’s initiative aims to help practitioners, policymakers and decisionmakers address the challenges by identifying improvements before planning, design and procurement of infrastructure projects.
In consultation with G20 governments and in collaboration with Jacobs, an infrastructure-solutions company, the GI Hub created a framework of challenges and improvements, supported by case studies, an overview of contractual models and a library of key reference documents that offer guidance for users to select the best model for their projects and tailor the chosen model to meet their objectives.
