GIC pays $219m for office in Canberra

Charter Hall Group and Singapore’s sovereign-wealth fund GIC have partnered to acquire the 12-story office building at 50 Marcus Clarke St. in central Canberra, Australia, for more than A$300 million ($219 million).

The seller is South Korean fund manager Mirae Asset Global Investments.

The building totals 40,201 square meters (432,720 square feet).
