GIC looks to funnel $1b in India infrastructure assets

by Kali Persall

Government of Singapore Investment Corp. (GIC), the country’s sovereign wealth fund, has plans to invest up to $1 billion in road and toll assets in India, according to Mint.

GIC is reportedly in talks with a group that it will partner with to establish an investment platform, part of a bigger strategy to increase GIC’s investments in India’s infrastructure sector.

The wealth fund manages more than $100 billion in public and private investments across asset classes, including private equity, public equity and real estate.
