The German states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria have established a hydrogen alliance in an effort to supply the southern part of the country with clean energy alternatives.
At a joint press conference on Aug. 29, the prime ministers of both states emphasized the importance of green hydrogen, which is produced in a climate-neutral manner from renewable electricity, as the energy source of the future. The prime ministers called for the rapid establishment of a national and European hydrogen network, and for industrial locations such as Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria to be connected quickly by 2030.
Under the hydrogen alliance, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg will seek to advance joint projects in the field of product and manufacturing technologies for electrolyzer components.
