German institutional investors plan to increase real estate share

Interest in real estate investment funds is growing among German institutional investors. A survey conducted for the LAGRANGE Fund Monitor, published by LAGRANGE Financial Advisory GmbH (Lagrange) for the fourth quarter of this year, returned an index score of 7.12 points (a score of 1 would imply a drastic reduction in, while a score of 11 would signal a massive increase in, the real estate share of a given portfolio of assets).

A clear majority of the polled institutional investors stated their intention to raise the real estate share in their portfolios of alternative investment funds (AIFs) over the next 12 months. Responses for the risk-opportunity profile returned an index score of 6.2 points, which implies a slight trend toward opportunity orientation/risk acceptance (a score of 1 would imply maximum risk aversion/ safety-orientation, whereas a score of 11 would denote maximum opportunity orientation/ highest risk acceptance).
