Genesta acquires high-quality logistics property in southern Sweden

Genesta has agreed to acquire a high-quality logistics property in Jönköping, ​​a city on the shores of Lake Vättern in southern Sweden. Infrahubs sold the asset for an undisclosed amount.

The property has a total leasable area of about 45,700 square meters (491,911 square feet) and is fully leased to Husqvarna under a long-term agreement.

Completed at the end of 2022, the building will be upgraded to be fully E.U. taxonomy-aligned under Genesta’s ownership. A carbon-risk assessment has been performed. It will be used to devise a long-term action plan for improving energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint of the building, with the goal of achieving a BREEAM in-use certification level of “Very Good.”
